Associate Professor P. Pilowsky
Associate Professor Paul Pilowsky is a member of the Departments of Pharmacology and Physiology, and the Northern Clinical School (Department of Neurosurgery) at Royal North Shore Hospital. Professor Pilowsky to date has received $5,592,480 in research grants. He has been invited to speak at 12 international meetings, is a reviewer for 15 granting bodies, a peer reviewer for 18 international journals and has 105 publications as book chapters or articles in peer reviewed journals.
Recent Awards
1999 Broyles-Maloney Award of the American Broncho Esophagological Association for Identification of posterior cricoarytenoid (PCA) motoneurons in the rat.
1996 R T Hall prize. Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
1995 Elizabeth Penfold Simpson Prize. Awarded every two years by the Australian Brain Foundation (S.A.) on the basis of published work in the field of Neuroscience. ($10,000).
1994 AMRAD "Pursuit of Excellence Award" for presentation to the International Society of Hypertension
