The Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory:
HRTF Library

During the course of our research we are collecting a large library of head related transfer functions taken from a relatively large population (we aim to have recorded the HRTFs from at least 50 individuals by the end of 1995). Our HRTF measurement protocols include

  1. localization accuracy for each subject in the free field,
  2. localization accuracy for each in VAS,
  3. headphone transfer functions for a range of popular circum-aural headphones,
  4. a range of morphometric measurements of the ears and head of each individual.

If you are interested in finding out about how we might able to provide HRTFs libraries for your research or applications please contact Dr Simon Carlile.
