The  Australian Neuroscience Society's 2012 Annual Meeting will be held on the Gold Coast.  O'Reilly's Rainforest Resort is 30 km inland from the Gold Coast.

Abstract submission

To apply for a poster or six-for-six presentation, please submit an abstract (click here to view abstract guidelines; the guidelines are the same as those used by the Australian Neuroscience Society) to cindyg@physiol.usyd.edu.au by 13th December 2011. We will try to schedule all applicants. If the six-for-six program gets tight, we may ask you to present your work as a poster.

 

Please note that there is a limit of ONE poster/oral submission per registrant, and that abstracts will not be published. You may use the same of similar material as at the main ANS meeting if you wish.

Poster Presentations

We invite submissions for poster presentations from all registrants. Please make your poster a maximum of 1 metre wide, and 1.2 metres high.

Six-for-Six Oral Presentations

Following the success of "Six for Six" presentations at the 2011 Auckland ANS Satellite we invite submissions from senior graduate students, postdocs and early career researchers to present their work. You will have a limit of six (powerpoint/keynote/pdf) slides and six minutes for presentation. Please note: your presentation will be uploaded to our display computer on the day before your scheduled session. You cannot use your own computer for your presentation.

Transport

O'Reilly's is accessible from Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airport and Brisbane international airport. Bus transport (approximately 2 hours) from Gold Coast Airport and from Brisbane International Airport will be arranged. The transfer fare is A$ 35.00 each trip. Please check the appropriate boxes on the registration form.

Thursday 26 January 2012:
Brisbane Airport departs 2 pm
Gold Cost Airport departs at 2 pm

Sunday 29 January 2012:
To Brisbane Airport departs O'Reilly's at 1 pm, arrives at Brisbane Airport at about 3.45 pm
To Jupiters Hotel (ANS meeting) departs O'Reilly's at 1pm, arrives Jupiters Hotel at about 3 pm
To Gold Cost Airport departs O'Reilly's at 1pm, arrives at Gold Coast Airport at about 3.40 pm

The Mountain Coach company also offers a daily airport link from Gold Coast Airport leaving at 8 am and arriving at O'Reilly's at approximately 12.30 pm, at a transfer fare of $50.00 each way. The return service departs O'Reilly's daily at 2.30pm arriving at Coolangatta (Gold Coast Airport) at 5.30pm.
