Within Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) my research has two main
focuses. The first is the role of stretch-activated channels in
the pathogenesis of the heart failure that occurs in boys with DMD.
The second is the role of reactive oxygen species in the
development of the heart failure that occurs in DMD. I combine a
number of molecular biology and physiological techniques during
the course of my research.
